What are my options, besides copying all my PDFs onto an USB stick and run to a Windows computer?.Ĭan I somehow persuade Evince to use the right resolution, or is there maybe another PDF viewer I could use to print? Doesn't need to do anything besides clean and precise printing. Forget about great applications with dozens of functions that are totally useless. Which would mean that Evince apparently disregards my dpi settings, both in the printer system settings and inside the Evince print dialog. Evince is an efficient PDF and PostScript viewer that sets aside additional functions to focus all its attention on its main purpose.

It does nothing for Evince ("Document Viewer") though, Evince still seems to be printing at 300 dpi no matter what I do, resulting in a overly large and dotty impression which doesn't even fit on the paper. Removing "automatic resolution" and setting it to a fixed 600圆00 dpi in the printer settings is enough to be able to print normally in LibreOffice.

That printer happens to be a 600 dpi printer, but apparently Mint's Canon S900 driver considers the printer as a 300 dpi one. (Thats: Mint 17.3 -> Samba -> Windows -> Canon printer.) I'm on Mint 17.3 and using, through Samba, a Canon S900 printer attached on a Windows computer in the network.
